Coupe - America’s #1 Akita & #5 Working Dog in the U.S.A. in 2009

Our honorable “rockstar” here at Mojo Akitas, Coupe has a very outgoing personality and wonderful temperament! He is a powerful built dog with clear and vibrant color, heavy round bone with much substance, a thick and correct coat, well knuckled cat like feet, black pigment and gums, beautiful breed type and fantastic clean movement no matter which way he’s heading!

Coupe entered the show ring at 6 months of age and was an impressive winner from the very beginning! He was shown only 5 weekends until he achieved his American championship title at 7 ½ months old. His wins from these 5 weekends include: Multiple Best Puppy in Specialty Show, Multiple Best In Sweepstakes, Multiple Best of Breed wins and Group placements over top ranked specials! He finished up this winning streak in style by going Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Show for a 5 point major at the Akita Club of Las Vegas Specialty Show under the esteemed judge Mrs. Michelle Billings!

Coupe returned to the ring in 2007 and won his first Best In Specialty Show at the Golden Gate Akita Club Specialty Show under judge Mr. Mark Van Alstyne. That same year, we attended the AKC National Invitational “Eukanuba” Show in Long Beach where he won Best of Opposite Sex and Best Bred By Exhibitor under breeder judge Mrs. Catherine Bell. We continued on that day to win Bred By Exhibitor Working Group 4 under judge Mr. Adrian Landarte. Showing him myself to these wins was a most memorable experience for me!

In 2008, now being shown exclusively by Al ”Beep” and Shari Lee, Coupe again attended the AKC National Invitational “Eukanuba” where he won Best Of Breed under judge Mr. Houston Clark and a Working Group 2 under judge Mrs. Sheila Dinardo!

Coming into his prime in 2009, Coupe won his first of many All Breed Best In Show wins! Coupe was Americas #1 Akita (ALL SYSTEMS) and the #5 Working Dog in 2009! The 3 years that he was shown as a special, he remained a top ranked Akita while still living at home as a housedog during the week! His outstanding showmanship and sound movement made him impossible to miss in the ring.

Coupe retired with a record of 14 ALL BREED BEST IN SHOW wins and 7 BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW wins!  Now retired from the show ring, Coupe is proving himself to be a wonderful producer. With limited breeding, he is reproducing his lovable and sweet temperament with fantastic type and soundness!  Coupe and some of his kids are pictured below.
